Two-factor login
Optional and free for everyone: after your password, TasksPage also asks for a 6-digit code from an authenticator app on your phone, so a stolen password alone is not enough.
Turn it on⚙ Settings → Security & privacy → Two-factor login → Set up. Scan the QR code with an authenticator app (Google Authenticator, Authy, 1Password and others) and enter the code it shows. You need a password and a confirmed e-mail address.
Recovery codesWhen you turn it on you get 10 recovery codes, shown once. Each works once instead of a code from your phone. Keep them in a password manager or on paper.
Signing inAfter your password, enter the 6-digit code. Tick Trust this device for 30 days on your own devices to skip the code there; changing your password or signing out all other devices asks for it again.
Forgot your passwordA reset link by e-mail still asks for a code or a recovery code, so a hacked mailbox alone cannot take over your account.
Lost your phoneUse a recovery code. If you have none left, write to support@taskspage.com from your account’s e-mail address: we check by hand that it is you, then switch two-factor login off so you can set it up again.
Google accountsAccounts that sign in with Google are protected by Google’s own 2-step verification, so TasksPage does not ask for a second code.
Turn it offSame place, with your password and a code (or a recovery code).
