A password-protected to-do list that keeps private tasks private

Some tasks aren't for the family laptop. TasksPage lets you lock any colour category with a password, so those tasks stay out of sight until you unlock them. It's free, it works on one page, and you don't need an account to start.

Lock your to-do list, one category at a time

TasksPage organises tasks into colour categories. Pick any category, set a password, and it becomes private. From then on the tasks inside it are withheld by the server until you type the password — they don't even load into the page. Unlock lasts for the session, so you're not retyping it every minute.

This is perfect when you want to hide tasks on a shared computer: keep your everyday list visible, tuck the personal stuff behind a password. Five colour categories are free; Pro removes the limit.

How the security actually works (no overclaiming)

We'd rather be precise than impressive. Here's the honest model for your private to-do list:

  • Password-gating, server-side. Locked tasks are held back by the server until you enter the password. This is not client-side end-to-end encryption — so treat it as strong privacy from over-the-shoulder viewers, not a vault against a determined attacker with server access.
  • Encrypted at rest. Separately, all your data is encrypted at rest on the server.
  • No password recovery. There's no reset link. If you forget the password, those tasks stay locked. Choose one you'll remember.

No ads and no third-party tracking on the free plan.

One page, not a second job

Todo apps became project managers. Project managers became second jobs. TasksPage is one page — add, drag, burn, done. Every task has a progress percentage you scrub by dragging, and the list auto-sorts so the least-finished work floats to the top.

It also works offline: install it to your home screen and your changes save when you're back online. Add notes, questions and file attachments to any task, search instantly, and reorder by drag and drop. Want your locked list on your phone too? Create a free account to sync across devices. Frequently asked

How do I password-protect my to-do list?

Open a colour category, set a password on it, and it becomes private. Its tasks are withheld by the server until you enter that password, and the unlock lasts for your session.

Is TasksPage free?

Yes. The password-protected categories and the core app are free forever, with no ads and no third-party tracking. Pro is $2/month or $20/year and adds unlimited categories, due dates, reminders, themes and more.

What happens if I forget my category password?

There is no password recovery. If you forget it, those tasks stay locked permanently, so pick a password you'll remember. The rest of your list is unaffected.

Is my locked list end-to-end encrypted?

No. It's password-gating enforced by the server, plus encryption at rest on the server. That keeps tasks hidden from anyone using the same computer, but it isn't client-side end-to-end encryption.

Can I hide tasks on a shared or family computer?

Yes. Keep your everyday tasks visible and lock a colour category with a password so personal tasks never appear on screen until you unlock them.

Do I need an account to use it?

No. Open taskspage.com/app and start straight away; your list is saved on the server tied to your browser. A free account is optional and only adds syncing across devices.
